How to stop unauthorized transfer of your service (also known as a Port Out).

Customers can turn on Number Lock to provide their mobile number an extra layer of security. When Number Lock is turned on, it blocks anyone from moving your mobile number to another carrier until it is turned off. This feature can be turned on and off through your My Verizon account, My Business account or through customer service.

How to stop unauthorized changes to your SIM card (also known as a SIM Swap).

Customers can turn on SIM Protection to provide their mobile number an extra layer of security. When SIM Protection is turned on, it blocks anyone from moving your mobile number to another device until it is turned off. This feature can be turned on and off through your My Verizon account, My Business account, or through customer service. Please note that if you're upgrading your device, SIM Protection will need to be turned off, and following completion of the upgrade you can turn SIM Protection back on.

How to set up Two Factor Authentication

Set up Two-Factor Authentication in the My Verizon website to further protect your Verizon account. When enabled, your account will be protected by a secondary factor to login. Verizon uses My Verizon app notifications, special links, or one time passcodes as the extra security step. This is applicable each time the Account Owner signs into My Verizon or contacts Customer Service. Two-Factor Authentication is applied to certain Verizon Wireless business customer transactions without any action.
