Harvard Business Review Analytic Services Report Finds Business Agility Tops Cloud Benefits

Enterprises that have adopted cloud cite business agility (the ability to quickly recognize and react to changing market conditions) as one of the core cloud benefits. This advantage was ranked higher than cost reductions and innovation as the driver of cloud within the enterprise, according to respondents to a recent survey from Harvard Business Review (HBR) Analytic Services, sponsored by Verizon.

Most of the 527 HBR readers surveyed reported that their companies have already adopted cloud, which is not surprising. However, it is interesting to note where they see the top cloud benefits that help move the business forward. One-third of those surveyed report that the cloud’s greatest value is simplifying internal operations and nearly 40 percent of respondents say that cloud improves information security.

It’s clear that perspectives within the enterprise on the importance and value of cloud benefits are evolving. Check out the full “Business Agility in the Cloud” report at the Verizon Cloud website and watch the short video below for more on how cloud is driving agility and efficiency in the enterprise.
