MCI WorldCom, Sprint Unveil WorldCom-Merger Website

Washington, D.C.-- MCI WorldCom and Sprint today unveiled a joint Internet website designed to provide comprehensive and up-to-date information about the companies' pending merger. The site provides members of the media, federal and state officials, customers, and other interested parties with information on the many pro-consumer, pro-competitive benefits of the MCI WorldCom-Sprint merger. Site content, which will be updated to reflect developments in the merger approval process, includes news releases, fact sheets, articles and opinion pieces, regulatory filings, hearing testimony and video clips from merger-related events. Additionally, the site will feature real-time access to merger-related events.

The site will provide a live webcast of a Jan. 12 luncheon speech by Bernard J. Ebbers, MCI WorldCom President and CEO, to the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The speech, titled "Strong Enough to Fight Back," will take place at 1:00pm EST. Mr. Ebbers will discuss how the combined MCI WorldCom-Sprint will ensure consumers and businesses have a real competitive choice in the telecommunications market of 21st Century. The speech will also be available on the WorldCom-merger.com site for replay.
