California Consumer Privacy Act - 2023 Reporting
Introduction
California law requires businesses to report annually on the number of privacy requests they receive each year. The sections below report the number of requests to know, delete, correct, and opt out of selling and sharing for cross-contextual advertising that we received between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.
Consumers
Verizon received the following requests from consumers⁺ nationwide in 2023

⁺ For purposes of this reporting, Verizon included individual rights requests submitted to Verizon by natural persons other than Verizon employees and contractors.
* Verizon also received 19 unverified requests to know, 0 unverified requests to delete, and 0 unverified requests to correct from Digital Secure customers via email in 2023.
** These numbers include the number of requests received through a Global Privacy Control and the number of requests received through Verizon’s consolidated opt-out mechanism on our Your Privacy Choices pages from July 1 through December 31, 2023. Verizon also had 222,117 unique visits to Verizon’s and Verizon Community’s Your Privacy Choices pages from January 1 through June 30, 2023, the time period before the consolidated mechanisms above were in place.
Employees and Contractors
Verizon received the following requests from employees and contractors residing in California in 2023. Verizon does not sell or share for cross-contextual advertising the personal information associated with employees or contractors.
