Problems with my New Phone

my old Phone works better than my new one as i Navigate the ring in the center online it excepts my choices at the same time when i am suppose to hit the center button to accept something so to say the Ring is entering things at the same time

Purchased this phone for my 90 yr old mother n law who is very hard of hearing. She can hear this phone ring! The other one she had she missed a lot of calls for not hearing the ring. This was the main reason in purchasing this phone. She is still figuring things out on it. Seems to be fairly easy use for elderly.

Poorest Text Program Ever

The phone itself is great. Strong. Reliable. Responsive. The problem is in the programming for texting in the "Prediction" mode. When I enter 93 for "we"...the word "week" is predicted. When I enter 843 for "the"....the word "they" is predicted. When I enter 4673 for the word "hope"...."gore" is predicted. 4663 becomes "goods" rather than "home". 228 becomes "causes" rather than "cat". 86 becomes "tomorrow" rather than "to". 47 becomes "growing" rather than "is". 8447 becomes "thirty" rather than "this". 227 becomes "across" rather than "car". I can go on and on with examples. This programming is absolutely ridiculous. I believe this is my 2nd or 3rd DuraXV and the others were programmed sooooo much better . Texting is such a big part of daily life and to have this function more poorly than previous versions is unacceptable. Someone is sleeping on the job.

The latest predictive text entry solution on DuraXV Extreme+ is designed to learn your word usage over time and adapt to it, so it should become more convenient as you use it. Make sure that "Learn new words" is turned on. To do this, start entering text in Prediction mode, then press the Left Soft Key. Select "0. Text Options." Select "1. Learn new words" and turn it On. Yes, DuraXV Extreme+ has a Music Player which can be launched from Menu->Media center->3. Music player. It supports many audio formats including AAC, LC, ACC+, enhanced AAC+, enhanced low-delay AAC, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, FLAC, MP3, MIDI, Vorbis, PCM (WAVE), and Opus. DuraXV Extreme+ does support stereo Bluetooth earbuds. It also has Mobile Hotspot capability which can be enabled under Menu->Settings & tools->1. Settings->1. Wireless & networks->4. Tethering & Mobile Hotspot->2. Mobile Hotspot. You should check with your mobile service provider to confirm that the Mobile Hotspot feature is enabled for your phone line.

"Support" is a strong word. It can send&receive group texts, but only after significant struggle. It must download (and transmit) them separately from regular texts, which apparently it finds very difficult: many get stuck in limbo. Bad phone for texting.

Can you use Google maps on this phone?

You can use the browser on your DuraXV Extreme+ to visit the Google Maps website to find your current location and even get directions to another location. Note that you will need to set the Location setting to something other than "E911 Only" for this to work. However, the Google Maps app will not run on this device and turn-by-turn navigation is not available.
