It does not look like the picture in person the phone looks silver and I had a lot of communication issues with Verizon

Splash, Water, and Dust Resistance: iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are splash, water, and dust resistant and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.
FaceTime: FaceTime calling requires a FaceTime-enabled device for the caller and recipient and a Wi-Fi connection. Availability over a cellular network depends on carrier policies; data charges may apply.
Emergency SOS via Satellite: Available in November 2022. Service is included for free for two years with the activation of any iPhone 14 model. Connection and response times vary based on location, site conditions, and other factors. See apple.com/iphone-14 or apple.com/iphone-14-pro for more information.
Crash Detection: Emergency SOS uses a cellular connection or Wi-Fi calling.

This is more of a longing than it is a criticism. I just wish there was an earphone jack. Hence, there reason for four (rather than five) stars.

The jump between the 13 Pro Max and the 14 Pro Max may not have been a giant leap, but there is enough here to warrant a purchase for those who just love the latest technology and makes no apologies for it. The new "Dynamic Island" that r eplaces the notch is more than the gimmick it was perceived to be - its actually quite useful in saving you time and screen taps, but it takes learning the ropes to get the most of out what is sure to become more useful as iOS progresses along with it. The screen quality is among the best in iPhone history and the battery life is on par with the 13 Pro Max - meaning it is a monster. The safety upgrades, such as using Emergency SOS and satellites if cell service isn't available sounds like it would be great, but luckily I haven't had to actually use it yet outside of a demo. All in all, if you love the Pro Max line, you will still love this phone, even if the upgrades are minimal. Because the overall experience is still great and the small improvements (which seem pointless in the beginning) are some that you'll end up not being able to live without.
