Our Charge 6 features Auracast, while our Pulse 5 uses JBL PartyBoost. These two systems are not compatible, meaning you won’t be able to link the speakers for synchronized playback. To connect multiple JBL speakers, they must support the same pairing protocol, such as JBL Flip 7, Xtreme 4, Clip 5, or Go 4 that supports Auracast.

Then, press and hold the play button while plugging in the Type-C cable. Once you hear a chime sound, it means the speaker has successfully switched to a wired connection.

Thanks for reaching out. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue, and do the following in this order. First, go into the app and clear the Cache, then uninstall the app from your device. Next, forget or unpair the JBL Charge 6 from the Bluetooth list on your device, then reboot the device/phone twice (this is an important step, as it ensures that the device has gone through an entire on/off cycle without ever seeing the app or Bluetooth pairing, so all remnants are removed from the phone). Third, reset the speaker. After that, pair them to your device. Play some music to ensure a good Bluetooth connection. Lastly, download and install the app, open the app, and allow all permissions (the app will not function without permissions). When the app opens, it should find your speaker and function properly. Please know that we can not guarantee the use of our app when using Beta versions of Operating Systems. If the issue remains, please contact us.
