[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product for free from Influenster and Oakley in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been using the Oakley Meta Vanguard for a bit now, and it’s honestly a mixed bag but in a very fixable way.
Let’s start with the issues: video calls are extremely laggy, which is disappointing for a product that’s supposed to feel seamless. Also, every time I try to export photos or videos, it asks for WiFi permission again, even though it’s already been granted. That part feels glitchy and slows everything down. Now the good stuff because there is a lot of it. The music feature is elite with surprisingly good sound quality, especially for workouts. I’ve been using it for running and workout recording, and that part is actually really convenient. The design is sleek and lightweight, and I’ve gotten compliments from so many people — it doesn’t look like typical smart glasses. The camera quality is also genuinely impressive.
Overall, I love the concept and the experience when it works. If the software gets optimized, this could easily be a standout product.

I love the fact you can use these on your daily life. I know these were designed for athletes in mind, but I use them to record content from my job to playing video games. The fact you can wear them and listen to music. You can also talk on the phone via Bluetooth. You get an amazing clear quality when recording videos or taking pictures. The side control is touch and is very responsive. The control buttons feel solid and have a nice solid click to them. I would say being a daily consumer that these glasses are amazing to create content videos. The battery is amazing. I ran between 3-4hrs of use on a single charge between listening to music and recording content.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these glasses to use for my upcoming ski trip but also my bike rides that I do with friends so that I can capture fun moments without needing to pull out my phone.
The glasses were a bit large on my face, but are also a bit too tight in my head/ behind my ears to the point I really feel it when I eventually take them off.
The video and picture capabilities are very cool but I do think the Siri command functionality still needs some work/ improvement to make these more useful for on the go. Sometimes the reminder I asked be set is completely wrong.
All in all, these are cool and super fun but still need a bit of work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow… so I finally got my hands on the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses and honestly -I’m kind of blown away. I mean, I wasn’t expecting every little detail to be this good, but here we are 😂. First off, the PRIZM™ lenses are insane they make everything look super sharp and vibrant, whether I’m out on a run or just walking around in bright sunlight. These feel really different from regular sunglasses. 
And the Meta AI stuff? Legit fun and actually useful. You just say “Hey Meta…” and you can snap photos, record videos hands-free, or even ask about your pace or heart rate if you’re working out with your Garmin. It’s like having a little coach right on your face, no joke. 
The audio is way better than I thought it would be too. The open-ear speakers deliver music or voice feedback without me feeling boxed in, and I can still hear what’s going on around me — perfect when I’m on the bike or running. 
Battery life has been solid for me easily enough to get through most of my workouts and the charging case gives even more hours on top, which is nice when I’m out early or late. 
Fit-wise, they feel sturdy and comfortable… not flimsy at all. Oakley definitely nailed the build quality and that classic sporty look. I was a little worried they might feel too tech-heavy or awkward, but nope -they just work.
Honestly, these are way more than “just sunglasses.” The mix of tech, optics, and everyday usability really surprised me. Super happy I got them — I reach for them all the time now. 😄

However, the frame is large and heavy, and after wearing them for a while, it started to hurt my ears. Voice commands to record videos were unreliable on the mountain—often not working, possibly due to connectivity or the glasses not hearing commands clearly. Additionally, the music frequently stopped whenever I adjusted or slightly lifted the glasses to reduce ear discomfort, which was frustrating.

He absolutely loves them! The design is super modern and stylish, so they don’t even feel like “techy” glasses. They look just like a cool pair of Oakleys, but with AI built in.
In terms of weight and fit, they’re surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods. They sit nicely on the face without feeling tight or heavy, and the balance is really good. The build feels solid and durable, like what you’d expect from Oakley, and they seem well made. The lenses provide good protection too, especially for outdoor use, which is a big plus.
The AI features are amazing and make the experience feel futuristic, even though a few features still don’t always detect or respond perfectly. It’s not a deal breaker though — overall it’s still very impressive and fun to use, and updates will likely make it even better. For the quality, tech, and style you’re getting, I think the value is totally worth it. I enjoy sightseeing and capturing the local ducks. I even spotted a deer on my glasses. I can capture my runs and the scenery all hands free. The audio is great and the glasses have a long battery life. I try to keep active for no less than an hour and my metrics are recorded. I love the comfort of the glasses on the bridge of my nose especially since I have a button nose. There are additional nose pad attachments to adjust for your nose comfort.
