Ive been using different type of ear buds for years, but always had eqr problems. These Shoks provide good sound, are comfortable, and allow for me to hear the environment around me better.

I have used these for a few weeks at the pool. Game changer, I wish I had listened to my friends advice a year ago. If you haven’t tried these you need to . The controls are a little hard for this old guy to use, but I am getting it down. .

Shokz got all the hard things right with OpenSwim Pro -- great sound quality; no splash noise (with provided earplugs); waterproof headset that stays securely in place even during flip turns and doesn't tangle with googles. However, they got the really easy things really wrong. The control buttons are way too small and poorly labelled. The Skokz iPhone app (which I learned was created to compensate for the poor control buttons) is just awful. It lacks even the most rudimentary features of MP3 players: no synchronization with other devices, no bookmarks to hold one's place in book or podcast, very limited ability to move through content; no scrubbing fast forward or rewind control. The app disconnects from the headset ON EVERY LAP of a 25 meter pool. All of those functionality issues were solved with software invented decades ago. Also the device comes with badly outdated USB-A connection cord which is useless with all contemporary Apple products -- and with no option to specify a USB-C connector as with other OpenSwim products. These readily addressed limitation severely detract from the value of a potentially awesome product. Why is the Skokz app and connector cord stuck in 1995? is there a new version of the app in the works to bring full MP3 player functionality to this product? Shokz, if your listening, please make it right . . . .

Third pair of shokz in 8 years

These are my third pair of shokz that ive owned in over years. First pair worked perfectly, until I lost them. Second pair worked well for 4 years, until I broke them by closing my cars trunk on them. They still worked, but didnt fit quite right after. I bought these open swim to help with all those hours in the pool training for Ironman events this year and enjoy them so far. My only complaint is that I wish the charger was consistent across models and that the bass isnt as deep with the open swim model.

I was gifted a pair of OpenRunPro headphones for Christmas last year and wore them everyday! Unfortunately I misplaced them at a NASCAR Race and had to purchase more. The sound is incredible and having the ability to change the settings to make give more treble or bass is great. I love being able to connect to multiple phones and I carry 3 phones! I use these for running, driving and find myself keeping them on all day. They are super comfortable and I hardly notice them! These have become part of my “everyday” wear and stay with me at all times! Also, changing the charging port to the USB-C was a fantastic idea! I would recommend more colors such as red, OCP (camo) and purple(my daughter’s favorite color).

I need to pad the back as it's too big for me. Since it isn't adjustable what can I use to pad it?

The main goal is to ensure the transducers (the parts that rest on your head) sit securely on your cheekbones, just in front of your ears, for optimal sound quality and comfort. If you are using the headphones for swimming, wearing them with a swim cap (either under or over the cap, depending on preference) is a common method that many users find effective for a more secure fit.
