I purchased this screen protector in September 2025. The associate at Verizon asked if I’d like a privacy screen or regular. With Christmas on the horizon and children increasingly interested in my phone I thought a privacy screen would be a good idea. Unfortunately, this screen protector was so dark that I could barely see anything when using it without turning up the contrast to the max. Doing so would then drain my battery. I am a woman in my mid-40’s and in the past year I’ve experienced a noticeable decline in my vision. If you have any vision challenges or if you’re of an age when, biologically, you may soon see a decline in your vision, I would NOT recommend a privacy screen. In addition, I could never properly take a photo unless I was looking directly at the screen- no taking photos from an angle or above/below because the screen was entirely dark. I think these screen protectors are a terrible option and the associates at Verizon should understand how to describe the pros and cons much better. If I’d had access to reviews I would have appreciated this kind of honest perspective. As it was, my old phone was completely dead and I was in-store to purchase a new phone/case/protector. I made a decision somewhat under duress and without complete information and I now strongly recommend against purchasing a privacy screen. If zero stars was an option that would be my rating on all points.
