Stay away unless you like. Being constantly frustrated by things not working

I had a pixel one and a Pixel 3 and loved them both so I upgraded to a Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 is garbage. Fingerprint reader never works properly. Phone randomly pretends it has no cell service. You're constantly having to click on things two or three times. Things in the corner of the screen are nearly impossible to click on phone. Always turns on in your pocket no matter what you do and opens up the emergency dialer. Basically it's nearly as bad as owning an iPhone

There's nothing good about this phone Google's customer service is horrible or should I say there's no customer service!! I am not a fan of iPhones after getting rid of the last one I said I'm never buying it again but Google pixel 6 pushed me to the limits and I'm exchanging it for one!! I hope you can hear my frustration and you will never buy Google pixel phone!! The frustration is not worth the camera and got forbid you have a problem and you call Google they will tell you to sign in to a forum where a regular Joe's like you and me will answer your question on their time obviously because they do it of free will! Stay away from google pixel

2 out of 5 rating

Dbeatty5 · 3 days ago

I had a google pixel. The camera was very good. Actually the camera was leaps and bounds better than any other phone camera but this phone is awful. After having the phone for 54 weeks, yes,a year and two weeks, the speaker on the phone broke. It was under warranty for 1 year, and this happened 2 weeks after the warranty expired. I googled how to fix this and I was amazed to find that thousands of other people had the same exact problem. Galaxy is your best phone in the cell phone market.

Calls break up

2 out of 5 rating

Disappointed · 3 days ago

Totally disappointed because my calls break up so bad my callers get frustrated because they can't hear me. Like everything about the phone but that and also have trouble with text delayed or not going or coming through. As a mommy, I need a dependable phone but unfortunately this isn't it. Very disappointed because I loved my pixel 4. Should have kept it.

From a pixel 3 to pixel 6

3 out of 5 rating

Erika · 4 days ago

Now I've been a Google fan ever since the 2. I've had the 3 and then jumped to the 6. It was a very drastic change. The phone is heavy, it's big and not as 'simple' as I had invisioned the pixel phones to be. The camera was great at first. Now it's having an issue focusing on up close photos. I sent it in to get fixed at a third party (ubreakitifix). It was supposed to take them 2 days max, it took them 5. The camera still is having issues and I got it fixed out of the state I'm normally in, so the warranty is pretty much useless. I might have to send it into Google for repair. I loved the fingerprint reader on the 3, very easy. Never any issue. On the 6, I'm constantly having to put in my pin in order to unlock the phone. The phone gets very hot at times and it's just bulky, big and heavy. I pre-ordered the pixel 6 and couldn't get my 3 back. So I'm stuck with the phone. It would be a great phone if they made it from that heavy duty plastic they used to make it from and put the reader on the back again. Camera is great nonetheless. Might have to result in getting an older model in the future or another company that has a smaller, lighter option. Hard to give up the camera though. But it's at half it's capacity since I have to get it fixed again. What a shame.

Pixel 6 fingerprint reader is not what I would expect from Google qualify and customer focus

1 out of 5 rating

maxi36sailor · 6 days ago

Up till the Pixel 6 I have been a fan of all things Google. I have owned the Pixel 2 and 4a and a week ago "upgraded" to Pixel 6. Nothing but problems with fingerprint reader. I have tried everything Google and Verizon have suggested and have spent much more time than I believe I should to try and resolve a problem which Google should have solved before releasing the Pixel 6. Also, have tried various forums and discovered that the fingerprint reader has been a problem since the product launched 6 months(about) ago. Why should this be a problem in the first place and why does it take Google so long to fix it. Now the fingerprint reader works abut 70% of the time to unlock phone. (Why not 100% as in the Pixel 4a that I owned?) But the fingerprint reader works 0% of the time to use biometrics to unlock apps. 0%. It looks like hardware is not a priority for Google. All of the great features Google promotes in its marketing mean nothing if the user experience with the phone is not seamless. Why make its customers suffer if they will not devote resources to do the job right? I am returning my phone and getting something that just simply works.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Don't listen to the haters. Phone is top notch from hardware to software. With new tensor chip and design overhaul there were a few issues to work out but nothing that was overtly noticeable or wasn't fixed with quick software upgrade. Can't beat it as an Android device and since it has Apple in it's sights with a higher ceiling prepare for apple-onlys to bombard with hate without any experience. Son has Pro and we've truly enjoyed the Pixel 6/6 Pro experience thus far. ✌️

Whose smart idea was it to make the case of glass??

1 out of 5 rating

Leveller · 8 days ago

If you want a phone that's case is so super fragile it will shatter within the first month, even with a Zagg screen cover and rubberized secondary case, then this is the phone for you! Great value for money at just $800 a month! But wait...there's more!!!! You will NEVER be disturbed by Google Customer Service so they will save your endless hours in complaining about the awful phone you just purchased! Now where can you get a better deal than that!!!

It's sad they can't make a phone a reasonable size for portability. I have a Pixel 3 and tried the Pixel 6, I sent it back for a refund as it is way too big and heavy. Going to iPhone and Google just lost a customer of 15 years.
