Burned up in my hand! Horrible customer service

1 undefined

Pixel 7 . 1 month

I have had this phone and initially LOVED it! Like no complaints at all. However, one day it literally sparked and caught on fire in my hand and I had to throw it on the floor and it burned the floor. I called Verizon, they said it wasn’t anything they could do that I would have to call Google and Google said that there wasn’t anything they were going to do at all! Like paid almost $1000 for this phone to be blown off because it was on them. The battery blew up.

Want to love it, but it's a habitual mechanical failure

3 undefined

Sam377 . 1 year

I've had Androids and iPhones over the years but have always preferred Android because of the Google integration. I was really excited to try this phone because it has a great camera and all the Google features. But I've had habitual mechanical issues with the screen that caused me to ultimately have the phone replaced, and now the replacement is having screen issues, as well. Dead pixels, no responsiveness to touch, or, more infuriatingly, uncalibrated responsiveness so you're tapping in one place but the screen is reading your touch elsewhere. The phone refuses to cooperate with my car sometimes (calls won't connect via Bluetooth, for instance), a problem I never had with Samsung or iPhones. It also overheats easily. I'm looking forward to switching back to Samsung for a more reliable device experience. Hoping Google fixes these issues because I love its functionality.

This is literally the worst phone I’ve ever owned.

1 undefined

Kaib . 1 year

I’ve went through like 7 of them because they KEPT messing up and every time they sent me a knew one I would have issues the screen would randomly die and go green or have lines not light up or the phone would just restart every single time I opened any app the camera txt msg it didn’t matter it would freeze and rest Making the phone useless. I would literally rather have a flip phone than this literal piece of garbage. Please don’t purchase this paper weight its useless.

Activating and transferring data to a new phone.

3 undefined

Cindy . 1 year

Check Mark Graphic
customer services have really, really declined. Phone was sent not charged, store that I took it to for data transfer would not charge it to transfer and sent me away telling me that I can to it myself. Did transfer, but then I had to activate the phone. The process was very confusing and still I do not know how my phone was activated. I have been with Verizon over 25 years and this process was the first time that made me think that I should move to another carrier for better service. This may not be 2-3 sentences long, but I could not communicate my disappointed with such a short sentences.

This phone sucks!

This phone has a great camera. I own a Nikon D850 so I already have the best DSLR on the market. The rest of the phone is crap. Battery life is poor at best. Notification tones are all messed up, sometimes they work the way you set them up usually they don't. Signal strength is not good. Call quality is well below expectations. The screen lock doesn't work at all. It frequently locks up. If Google had put the energy into the rest of the phone that they did on the camera we might have something here, but they didn't so stay away from this one.

xEnigm4x . 1 year

Been using Samsung for years but decided to try the Pixel out for a change. Boy, what a mistake. It doesn't even come close to the performance of a Samsung. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad phone, but I was definitely expecting more. I guess Samsung spoiled me, and I'll be going back to Samsung again on my next purchase

Very Disappointed

2 undefined

Arnie . 1 year

Now that I've had this phone for a few months, I will say that it's either possessed by some demon spirit, or it's just crap. I had a Pixel 6 prior to the 7, the 6 was a nearly perfect phone, I honestly can't recall ANY problems with the 6. And then there's the 7, it never connects to my car's bluetooth without me doing it manually (the 6 just connected every time I got in the car). The software on the 7 is just a train wreck. Parameters change for no reason what so ever. I keep the software up to date, that's not an issue. The camera is great. Voice calls are terrific. I can't see myself ever buying another Google Pixel. Too bad.

You will see so many posts about how great the camera is on these devices. But if you are in a low light area, say inside middle of the day curtains closed. Your pictures will look like analog TV with poor reception. It's sad how bad the quality is. Do a quick search on that before picking this device.

...and a partridge and a pear tree

Bsanburn55 . 1 year

Where to begin with this phone? I've had multiple issues with my pixel 7. Random green screens that you can only clear up by restarting your phone, or locking and reunlocking your phone. Excessive heat when playing a game or even using Google maps. Buggy system with Google maps, Spotify, or just about any function. fingerprint scanner is sub par at best. My boss called me the other day, and I couldn't pick up the call because the system UI was not responding. Google maps doesn't work properly half the time. Maps thinks you miss your turn, even though you made it. This makes driving in uncommon areas difficult when you have tight turns close to each other. The bluetooth issues with this phone are HORRENDOUS. when I'm listening to anything on my earbuds, the audio cuts out repeatedly minute by minute. Google releases a patch for this, and it fixed absolutely nothing. The screen is decent and the 90hz display is just right for those of us that want a smooth screen, but don't want to spend all their battery on a 120hz display and don't want to sacrifice for 60hz. This phone is not worth it, and I do not recommend it to anyone. Google has had this phone for 8 years now, and my wife's iPhone 13 pro max has worked flawlessly ever since she picked it up when it came out. I'm not expecting anything spectacular at 699$, but at least do the basics (answering phone calls, stable Bluetooth, no green screen out of nowhere) properly. But Google struggles with that all too much. I'm moving to iPhone as soon as this piece of junk is paid off. No more silly phone issues.
