Bought this to replace a 2022 moto g stylus 5g and it is not worth the money, the old phone could run my music, web, and driving apps concurrently and this new one freezes and refuses to work if I have more than 1 app open. I'm most likely going to throw this away and get a different phone soon.

The speaker isn't loud enough to hear it, even with my ear right up against it, when not in speaker mode, just like my XT2117, and XT2217, problem persists with this XT2417. Otherwise the larger internal memory is really nice and there are many improvements I like. But I still have to remember to click speaker whenever I answer or make a call. I wonder if the 2025 5G has the same speaker problem.

Can I use my current SIM card (NOT 5G) in this phone or do I have to use the 5G SIM that comes with the phone?

Hi EHAMM, Thank you for your inquiry. Since this Moto G 5G 2024 phone is locked to Verizon, you will need to use a Verizon SIM card to activate and use the phone. You can use your current Verizon SIM card, even if it is not 5G, but to access 5G network speeds, a 5G-compatible SIM card is recommended. If your current SIM is 4G-only, the phone will operate on 4G LTE until you upgrade to a 5G SIM from Verizon. Please contact Verizon customer support if you need assistance upgrading your SIM card. -Mich

You can use any compatible USB-C charger, or one can be purchased separately. Regarding the battery, the Moto G 5G 2024 uses a non-removable battery for design and performance reasons. This ensures the device remains compact, efficient, and durable. However, should the battery need replacement, we strongly recommend contacting an authorized Motorola service center. Attempting to replace the battery yourself could damage the phone and void the warranty. -Mitch
