I own the Caramel Latte colored version and it's better than expected. Wouldn't trade it for a newer model! Which is why I'm considering buying the red model to be a backup, if only the OS will be updated to Android 16 and 17, that would be great!!! I love the fact that it still has expansion capabilities via micro SD card to 2TB!

The phone is good and fits my needs well. The area of improvement is my previous Motorola phone had 40 hr of battery life, this one has 24 hrs. As new models are developed, battery life should NEVER decrease. They should either maintain or increase. One positive in the 50 mp camera.

2024 G Has an audio hardware issue.

I purchased one and it had an issue when you would plug in a 3.5mm audio cable. It would not map the audio correctly and Dolby Atmos would not work when using an audio cable. A second phone was sent to me with the same issue. I had to return both phones back for a refund. I have 2025 Moto G that works perfectly when using an audio cable. So, there is a hardware bug in the 2024 model.

I bought this phone a little over a week ago and it's great! I've got fairly large fingers and thumbs, so the stylus really helps with the more precise presses I need to do. It's a huge upgrade from my previous phone and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

Worse than the 2021 model in most ways

I bought this a few weeks ago and am quite disappointed. The only real upside it has from the 2021 version is the NFC. The phone is far bulkier feeling, lacks a rear fingerprint sensor, and the battery life is nowhere near what my 2021 did, I did notice in advertisements that it no longer stated it was a two day battery but 40 hours, which it doesn't seem to meet. I do have a few apps running that poll location like tile, but it only lasts around 14 hours, which is about what my 2021 had dropped to after 4 years of use, out of the box the 2021 would last the full 40+ hours. I assume the performance of hardware is probably better but I never had issues with that and don't notice a difference. I do like that the headphone jack is still present, that was the main factor that prompted me to buy this phone over others. The fingerprint reader is far too finicky and cant reliably be located and scanned as the phone is being pulled out of a pocket.The phones frame is squared all the way back to the of the phone with the back being flat, this makes the phone uncomfortable and bulky feeling, especially with a case. My 2021 Moto G stylus 5g the frame wasn't as thick at the sides and the back panel curved allowing it to sit nicely in a hand. If Motorola is to continue making phones I think they should go back to rear fingerprint sensors, ditch the 'vegan leather', add the bevels to the rear edges of the phone back, and fix whatever is plaguing the battery life as it is the same WH capacity.
