New phone bad old phone good

"Upgraded" to an A17 from an A42. I'm not picky, just looking for a basic phone, but this is really bad. Laggy from the start - big pause after clicking anything - spotty connectivity even with strong wifi - irritating changes in layout like to how to access stuff like the basic phone settings menu - terrible camera with poor resolution (my A42 could take amazing closeups of flowers with superb details; this just gives a blurry smush when you try to zoom in) - and the worst, grey, sad, shadowed selfies I've ever taken lol. I had to go back and take a pic with my old phone to make sure I hadn't suddenly aged 1000 years. Nope, it's just the new phone. Can't believe how far downhill Samsung fell between models. I bought it without researching because I thought the brand was trustworthy. A mistake I won't be making again. Yuck.

This phone is useless for anything beyond basic calls and text. It is useless for any kind of multitasking. It stutters and skips if you open more than one tab or application. If you do any sort of work with your phone BUY LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE! After 1 WEEK of having this phone I want to throw it at a wall on a daily basis. Now it is refusing to hold a charge as a brand new phone (I have had it two weeks). I bought this because it was the cheapest option but was hoping that it could perform at least the bare minimum for work. I was sick of wasting money on the "best" model phones when I only use it for work 99% of the time. This phone is a HUGE mistake and waste of money.
