Annual Upgrade Program for Samsung devices FAQs

Trade in an eligible Samsung device you've had for more than 30 days for a new eligible smartphone through the Verizon Annual Upgrade Program.

The Samsung device that is eligible for the annual upgrade program is the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, preordered or purchased with a device payment agreement before 10/13/20.

About the annual upgrade program for eligible Samsung devices

  1. What's the annual upgrade program for Samsung devices?

    The annual upgrade program allows customers who bought an eligible Samsung device under a device payment agreement to turn in that device after 30 days and payment of at least 50%, in order to upgrade to a new, eligible smartphone on a device payment agreement.

  2. How can I participate in the Samsung device annual upgrade program?

    To participate, you need to have:

    1. Preordered or purchased before 10/13/20 and activated a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G on a Verizon wireless device payment agreement.
    2. Used the device with Verizon Wireless service for at least 30 days.
    3. Paid at least 50% of the device's retail price.
    4. Returned the eligible Samsung device in good working condition with no significant damage, as determined by Verizon Wireless, within 14 days after you upgrade.
    5. Satisfied the annual upgrade program terms and conditions.

  3. If the annual upgrade program for Samsung requirements are satisfied, do I need to make the remaining payments for the eligible Samsung device under my original device payment agreement?

    No, you don't need to make the remaining payments.

  4. I have other smartphones on device payment agreements. Are they eligible for early upgrades too?

    The only Samsung device eligible for the annual upgrade program is the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G only version purchased on a device payment agreement before 10/13/20.

  5. Are all Samsung devices eligible for the annual upgrade program?

    No. The only Samsung device eligible for the annual upgrade program is the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G only version purchased on a device payment agreement before 10/13/2020.

    For all other Samsung devices purchased on device payment agreements, you must pay off the remaining balance to be able to upgrade to a new device.

  6. Is the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy S10 eligible for the annual upgrade program?

    No, only the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G version is eligible for the annual upgrade program.

  7. If I pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G device, do I still qualify for the annual upgrade program?

    Yes, if you pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G on a Verizon Wireless device payment agreement and activated it, you're eligible for the annual upgrade program.

  8. What happens if I don't return my Samsung device after I upgrade?
