Here's how to configure common accessibility options for your iPhone or iPad.
Expand All
Turns on closed captioning or subtitles when available.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accessibility
    .
    If not available, navigate:
    Settings
    General
    Accessibility
    .
  2. Tap
    Subtitles and Captioning
    .
  3. Tap the
    Closed Captions + SDH
    switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  4. Tap
    Style
    then choose your background preference:
    • Transparent Background
    • Large Text
    • Classic
    • Outline Text
    • Create New Style
Utilizes LED flash for alerts when the ringer is set to silent.
