Here's info on backing up and restoring app data on your Galaxy S9 / S9+.

'Automatic restore' allows backed up settings and data to be automatically restored when an app is reinstalled.

When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system / app issue, ensure 'Automatic restore' is turned off prior to performing a factory data reset.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Accounts and backup

Backup and restore

From the Google account section, ensure

Back up my data

is on.

If turned off:

Tap

Back up my data

Tap the

switch

to turn on.

Tap

Automatic restore

to turn on or off.
