Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your Tab 4 8 PLUS.
To customize the Home screen on your device, do one of the following:

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can be added to the Home screen via a widget.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag the shortcut to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    (at the bottom).
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the folder name (bottom of the open folder).
    3. Enter a name then tap the
      Blue checkmark
      (lower-right).

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to 'Remove' (upper-left) then release.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    WALLPAPERS
    (at the bottom).
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
    1. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
    2. Select (check) 'Lock Screen' and/or 'Desktop' (upper-left).
    3. Tap
      Set wallpaper
      (upper-right).
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        My Photos
        (the first wallpaper option).
      2. Select an image from the list.
      3. Select (check) 'Lock Screen' and/or 'Desktop' (upper-left).
      4. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      5. Tap
        Set wallpaper
        (upper-right).
