moto z4 - View / Restrict Data Usage by App

Some apps need background data. Restricting data may cause them not to work without a Wi-Fi connection.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     Settings icon.
  2. Tap
    Network & internet
     then perform any of the following:
    • For Cellular Data:
      1. Tap
        Mobile Network
        .
      2. Tap
        App Data usage
        .
      3. Tap an app below the usage graph then view its usage.
        To restrict the app from using data in the background, tap the
        Background data switch
        to turn off Off switch.
    • For Wi-Fi Data:
      1. Tap
        Wi-Fi
        .
      2. Tap
        Wi-Fi Data usage
        .
      3. Tap an app below the usage graph then view its usage.
        To restrict the app from using data in the background, tap the
        Background data switch
        to turn off Off switch.
