Google Pixel 6a - View / Restrict Data Usage by App
Here's how to view / restrict the amount of data an app on your Pixel 6a uses.
Some apps need background data. Restricting data may cause them not to work without a Wi-Fi connection.
- Open theSettings app
then do any of the following:
- For Mobile Data Usage:
- Navigate:.
- Tap the SIM name (e.g., Verizon, etc.) then tapApp data usage.
- Tap an app located below the usage graph then view the usage.To restrict the app from using data in the background, tap theBackground data switchto turn off

- For Wi-Fi Data Usage:
