Google Pixel 7a - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) functionality on your Pixel 7a.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. Open the
    Phone app
     Phone app icon.
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon then tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Accessibility
    .
  4. Tap
    Real-time text (RTT)
     then select from one of the following options:
    • Not visible
    • Visible during call
    • Always visible
  1. Open the
    Phone app
     Phone app icon.
  2. Once the call connects, tap
    More
     then tap
    RTT
    .
    Below is an example of a call connected with RTT.

  1. While on a call, tap the
    End icon
     to end the call.
