Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your Galaxy Z Flip5.
To customize the Home screen on your Galaxy Z Flip5, do any of the following:

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can only be added to a Home screen via a widget.
  1. Touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag and drop the shortcut to the preferred Home screen location.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget to drag it to the preferred Home screen location then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space on the screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Gallery).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Camera) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (unnamed by default). To rename the folder:
    1. Tap
      Folder name

    2. Enter a name for the folder then tap
      Done

    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap the applicable option:
    • Remove
    • Disable
    • Uninstall
      Options vary depending on the app.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. Tap
    Change wallpapers
    .
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap any of the options in the 'Featured', 'Graphical' or 'Colors' categories.
      2. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen).
      3. Tap
        Next
        .
      4. Tap the highlighted areas to configure additional options then tap
        Done
        when finished.
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. From the 'Gallery' category, select an album.
        If prompted, review the location information message then tap
        Allow
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture(s).
        Selected when a checkmark appears.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen).
      5. Tap
        Next
        .
      6. Tap the highlighted areas to configure additional options then tap
        Done
        when finished.
