MOTO G 5G - Adjust Brightness / Display Settings

Here's how to adjust screen brightness and other display settings (e.g., Screen saver, Screen timeout, Display size, etc.) for your moto g 5G.

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Display
    .
  3. Tap
    Brightness level
    then adjust the slider as desired.
  4. Tap the
    Adaptive brightness switch
    to turn on or off .
    When turned on, this setting optimizes brightness level for available light.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Display
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen timeout
    then select an option (e.g., 30 seconds, 2 minutes, etc.).
  4. Tap the
    Dark theme switch
    to turn on  or off.
  5. Tap
    Display size and text
    .
  6. Slide the
    Font size dot
    to select an option (e.g., Small, Default, etc.).
  7. Slide the
    Display size dot
    to select an option (e.g., Default, Large, etc.).
  8. Tap the
    Back arrow icon
    Back arrow icon to return to the Display settings screen.
  9. Tap
    Colors
    then select an option (e.g., Natural, Saturated).
  10. Tap the
    Back arrow icon
    to return to the Display screen.
  11. To control what happens when the phone is docked or charging:
    1. Tap
      Screen saver
      .
    2. Tap the
      Use screen saver switch
      to turn on.
    3. Tap
      When to start
      then select one of the following:
      • While charging
      • While docked
      • While charging or docked
    4. From the 'Choose a screen saver' section, tap the preferred option (e.g., Clock, Colors, Photos).
    5. Tap
      Customize
      to configure advanced settings for the selected screen saver.
      Options vary by screen saver.
