Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your TCL 50 XE 5G.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Connections

Tethering & Mobile Hotspot

Mobile Hotspot

Tap

Set up Mobile Hotspot

From the Set up Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:

Network name

Hide my device

Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)

Password

Tap the Password field to remove the existing password then enter the new characters.

The new password must be entered on the connecting device.

Maximum connections (1 user, 7 users, etc.)

Select AP Band (2.4 GHz Band or 5 GHz Band)

Tap

SAVE

Tap

Timeout settings

then select an option (e.g., Never, 40 minutes, etc.).
