TCL 50 XE 5G - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) functionality on your TCL 50 XE 5G.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. Open the
    Phone app
     Phone icon.
  2. Navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text Visibility
    .
  4. Tap
    RTT Visibility
     then select from one of the following options:
    • When Placing Calls
    • Only During Calls
  1. With 'When Placing Calls' selected under the RTT visibility setting, open the
    Phone app
     Phone icon.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Keypad, enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT call icon
       RTT call icon.
    • From the Recents tab or Contacts tab, select an entry then tap
      RTT call
       from the 'Select call type' prompt.
  1. While on a call, tap
    Real Time Text

  1. While on a call, tap the
    End icon
     to end the call.
