TCL 50 XE 5G - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your TCL 50 XE 5G that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. With the device powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the TCL logo appears then release.
    An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  2. Approximately 2-3 seconds after the TCL logo appears on the screen, press and hold the
    Volume down button
    .
    If pressed too soon, device won't boot into Safe Mode.
  3. Continue to hold the
    Volume down button
     until 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the screen then release.
    This may take up to 45 seconds.
  5. To exit Safe Mode, restart the device.
