Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 - Google Backup and Restore

Here's how to ensure your Gmail, contacts, apps, etc. are backed up on your Galaxy Z Fold6.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Accounts and backup

Back up data

Tap the

Backup by Google One switch

to turn on or off.

If turned off, existing backups are deleted from Google's servers.

Tap the

Back icon

To change the backup account tap

Manage storage

then tap the preferred Google™ (Gmail™) account.

Backups can't be restored from a higher Android™ version onto a phone with a lower Android version.

When a Google account is added to your phone, previous backups are restored. This can be done by adding an existing Google account to your already active phone or by signing in to the same Google account while setting up your new phone or after a reset.
