Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Pixel 9a.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Network & internet

Hotspot & tethering

Wi-Fi hotspot

From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following:

Hotspot name

Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)

Hotspot password

The new password must be entered on the connecting device.

Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.

Enter the password then tap

Tap any of the following to turn on or off.

Use Wi-Fi hotspot

Turn off hotspot automatically
