[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Galaxy Tab A9 mainly for streaming, reading, and light work, and it’s been surprisingly solid. It’s compact, easy to hold, and the metal finish gives it a nice feel for a budget tablet. The 8.7-inch screen isn’t the sharpest, but it’s good enough for watching shows and browsing without any complaints.
Performance has been smooth for basic tasks. Apps open quickly, and switching between things like YouTube, Chrome, and Kindle is no problem. It’s not built for heavy multitasking or gaming, but for everyday stuff, it gets the job done without feeling sluggish.
Battery life is one of its strengths. I’ve been getting close to a full day on a single charge with mixed use. It does take a while to charge, and you’ll need your own charger, but once it’s topped up, it lasts. For something affordable and reliable, the Tab A9 is a great pick for casual use.

When I get home my family uses it to stream music, movies, and the kids play all their games without any issues. I love it and probably the best device I've ever had. Consistent and reliable. Never had one "go bad" or "fail". I am on my 3rd tablet the A9. Reason why it's my 3rd, gave the old ones to my nephew so I could get a new one sounds reasonable right. Samsung please keep up the innovation and keep moving forward in design and functionality. If you want send me the new all in one washer and dryer .... Oh man that would look good in my laundry room.

Sometimes it takes overnight, sometimes 3 days to charge 100%. I've tried different/new charging cords. It's a toss up on when it'll charge properly.

I use it for work and play. It's great for my business both on the business end showing customers my work as well as products and services I have available to sealing the deal by having them sign contracts on the spot to seal the deal and emailing them a copy, taking payments and more and also on the working end, such as designing projects and running laser engravers and CNC routers, running my light show and digital audio mixers, editing videos and so much more, including accounting, marketing, website maintenance, etc.
Galaxy AI has made things even faster and easier and I'm just starting to explore all of its possibilities and potential.
