As an avid baseball fan, I’ll be watching a lot of the MLB Postseason on TBS in early October. Although my favorite club won’t be rounding the bases until next spring, I love watching the boys of summer playing fall ball.

What’s significant here is that TBS is one of many networks that’s part of the Turner Broadcasting System, along with other well known brands such as CNN, TNT and the Cartoon Network. A new contract just reached between Turner and Verizon will ensure that Turner content will continue to be seen by FiOS TV subscribers without any disruption.

Just as exciting is that the new deal calls for Turner’s entire portfolio of networks to ultimately be seen by FiOS TV customers not just live on TV, but across a variety of “second screens,” including PCs, tablets and handheld devices inside and outside of the home.

Just last week, we announced the launch of our out-of-home TV viewing initiative that allows consumers to watch a growing base of channels on FiOS TV wherever they are, and on a growing base of digital devices using our FiOS Mobile App.

We’ll talk much more about our expanded out-of-home viewing opportunities as they happen. But in the not too distant future, FiOS TV and FiOS Internet customers will have easier, instant access to Turner brands through an automatic login that provides a seamless and user-friendly experience on both Turner’s and Verizon’s platforms.

What’s in it for you? Lots!

So if you’re a FiOS TV subscriber, you’ll be able to watch a broad array of diverse, entertaining and informative content from Turner’s award-winning and popular entertainment, kids, news, sports and young adult programming in ways once only dreamed about.

The Turner networks covered by the new agreement:

CNN

CNN International

CNN en Español Boomerang

HLN

TNT

TBS

Carton Network (Adult Swim)

truTV

Turner Classic Movies (TCM)

That means that our FiOS subscribers will continue to enjoy award–winning news and information from CNN including New Day and Crossfire; marquee sports programming offered by TBS and TNT, such as my favorite MLB Post season classics on TBS, and TBS’s Cougar Town and CONAN; TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles and Mob City; and Cartoon Network’s Primetime Emmy-winning Regular Show and Adventure Time.

More great live and on demand video content. More viewing options inside and outside of the home. It’s a great time to be a FiOS TV customer.
