Albert Swierzy Named Network System Performance Director for
Verizon Wireless, Hawaii Region

Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has named Albert Swierzy director - network system performance for its Hawaii Region. In his new role, Swierzy is responsible for the performance of the company's statewide network, including performance monitoring, design and optimization of the network. Swierzy will lead the Hawaii network team in executing a $25 million network investment plan this year.

An eight-year veteran of the wireless industry, Swierzy has held network engineer positions with Verizon Wireless and US West/Airtouch in Bellevue, Washington. Prior to joining the wireless industry, he spent eight years with McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company managing satellite and spacecraft communication system design and testing.

Swierzy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
