Amy McIntosh named to key NYNEX marketing position

NEW YORK -- Amy McIntosh, former senior vice president-Marketing for the Consumer Card Group at American Express, joined NYNEX today as assistant vice president-Product Management.

McIntosh reports to Judy Haberkorn, NYNEX vice president- Individual Communication Services. She will be responsible for the design and development of new products, as well as the ongoing management of the company's existing product line.

McIntosh will replace Mort Greer, who has accepted the position of vice president-ICS Revenue Growth. In his new position, Greer will develop growth strategies for the ICS market segment and continue to report to Haberkorn.

"Coming to NYNEX from one of the most competitive industries today, Amy McIntosh knows the importance of anticipating products that customers will want and need tomorrow," Haberkorn said. "Her expertise in marketing will enable us to further differentiate NYNEX from its competitors in terms of truly offering products that meet our customer's needs."

McIntosh began her career at American Express in 1983 as director of Business Development Marketing. She later became vice president of Marketing for the Small Business Corporate Card and Travelers Cheque groups, as well as vice president of Quality Services for U.S. Business, Retail Travel Businesses and Corporate Card Operations.

In her most recent position, McIntosh was responsible for consumer loyalty strategies and product development to maintain and grow the Personal, Gold and Platinum Charge Card businesses in the United States.

She received her bachelor's degree from Harvard College and her M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
