Bell Atlantic and Gandalf Announce "Try Before You
Buy" Program

30 Days of Risk-Free Access To Office LAN From Home

ARLINGTON, VA -- Bell Atlantic and Gandalf Systems
Corporation want to
give you a month to settle into the world's most comfortable office
space.

Your home.

We're teaming up to offer Try Before You Buy, a 30-day equipment
trial
that allows customers to use Gandalf remote networking solutions and
Bell Atlantic Integrated
Services Digital Network (ISDN)
lines to
connect employees' homes with companies' local area networks.

Here's how the program works: customers use one of two Gandalf
equipment packages at no charge for 30 days; they pay only for ISDN
installation and usage fees. At the end of the promotion period Try
Before You Buy
customers can sign on permanently. A nominal
evaluation fee applies to customers who choose not to continue with
the program.

"Try Before You Buy is a great way for business customers
to get their
feet wet," said Joseph Cascio, vice president - marketing, Bell
Atlantic Large Business Services. "It gives them a month to liberate
themselves from the old highway-to-office grind while they adjust to a
new commute: Down the hallway to the den."

"Our customers almost always welcome that change," Cascio said.
"After
all, teleworking reduces rush-hour stress and turns dead time into
work time. People who have used this product for awhile wonder how
they managed without it."

One reason Gandalf teleworking solutions are so indispensable is that
they're supported by Bell Atlantic's high-speed ISDN lines. Our ISDN
service moves so much information so swiftly, that teleworkers can
avoid traffic jams on the information superhighway as effectively as
they do on its asphalt counterpart.

Quality is another reason customers stick with Gandalf long after the
30-day trial period. Try Before You Buy customers have a choice
of
two award-winning XpressStart® packages:

  • XpressStart 1 consists of five XpressConnect® devices at remote
sites connected to a central site served by XpressStack BRI®,
a high-performance platform that features stackable components
and software that's designed to grow with your business.

  • XpressStart 3 includes eight XpressConnect devices at remote sites
connected to an Xpressway BRI® at the central site. Composed of
    chassis-based, high-density concentration and internetworking
devices, Xpressway offers businesses scaleable centralized control
    for local and wide-area networks.

Both Try Before You Buy packages include central-site
installation,
remote-site installation, 24-hour support, remote-site overnight
replacement service, ISDN line provisioning and project management
coordination.

And one of the program's most attractive features is that the 30-day
clock doesn't start ticking until every member of your team is up and
running.
