Bell Atlantic and V100 FM Kick Off "West Virginia Points of
Pride" Photo Contest

CHARLESTON -- The 1999-2000 Charleston edition
[Kanawha-Putnam Counties] of
the Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages with the new "Points of Pride"
cover design are currently being distributed to local businesses and
residents. The new cover design highlights where people live and work in
a unique "Points of Pride" montage.

The cover for the Charleston edition of the Yellow Pages features icons
symbolizing general points of interest, as well as specific "Points of
Pride", in the shape of West Virginia. More than 162,000 copies of
the directory are being distributed throughout Kanawha-Putnam Counties.

In conjunction with the roll out of the new directories and cover design,
Bell Atlantic has partnered with V100 FM to sponsor a "Points of
Pride" photo contest. Listeners are being asked to submit a
photograph taken in front of a favorite West Virginia point of pride, e.g., a
favorite statute or park, a humorous landmark, a baseball game, or just a
family outing.

The contest runs through May 4, with the grand prize winner to win an
iMac Apple computer by random drawing on May 7, 1999. Photographic
submissions to the contest, and the grand prize winner, can be viewed on
V100's website (www.wvaf.com).

A feature in the new Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages is the 1999 West Virginia
Wild and Wonderful calendar, with a detailed guide to special
"points of pride" events and activities taking place each month
in West Virginia. It also includes location and contact information for
each event.

The new directories also feature an enhanced InfoTips® service that
enables users to obtain recorded consumer information on various topics
ranging from bicycles to tax preparation.

information designed to educate consumers on what, where and how to
