Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile Adds Litchfield County to
Complete Home Coverage Area in Connecticut

Reduces cellular roaming rates by as much as 80%

WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile has
completed its
Connecticut home coverage area by adding Litchfield County. The
coverage area expansion will reduce rates by as much as 80 percent for
cellular customers in the Connecticut and western Massachusetts
markets when traveling through Litchfield County.

Effective immediately, customers on select Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile
calling plans will pay their cellular home rates while roaming anywhere
in Litchfield County. The home roam calling area now encompasses all of
Connecticut and western Massachusetts, including Springfield and the
counties of Hamden, Hampshire and Berkshire.

Prior to the expansion of the home roam calling area, cellular phone
users on select rate plans paid as much as 99 cents per minute.

"We want our customers to use their cellular phones anywhere in
Connecticut without a concern for higher rate roaming charges," said
