Verizon FiOS TV customers on Long Island can watch the Hofstra University men's basketball team take on the winner of a previous game between James Madison University and The College of William & Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Tournament quarterfinals Saturday (March 5), courtesy of the Comcast Sports Network.

The game will air live exclusively on FiOS1, Channels 1 on Verizon FiOS TV.  Coverage begins at 8:30 p.m.  Should Hofstra advance in the tournament, FiOS1 will air the semifinal game at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday (March 6).

"Hofstra's basketball success this season is putting Long Island basketball on the map," said Michelle Webb, general manager of FiOS1.  "Verizon is excited to be able to bring this local start of March Madness to our Long Island FiOS TV customers."

Thomas E. Yeager, commissioner of the Colonial Athletic Association, said, "The CAA is thrilled that Verizon FiOS1 is carrying the Hofstra games of the tournament as Hofstra makes a run for post-season play.  The Pride has had an outstanding season, which we hope continues deep into March."
