SALISBURY, Md - Spurred by a significant increase in the demand for its products and services, Verizon is hiring 35 full-time, term customer sales and service employees for its call center on Mt. Hermon Road in Salisbury. 

The company is currently testing and taking applications for potential candidates.  These positions primarily involve selling Verizon's landline products and services to consumers in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.  The Salisbury center currently has 200 employees.

Starting wages for the 35 jobs range from $443.50 to $981 a week, depending on experience and education.  Benefits include employer-paid medical, dental, life insurance and a vision-care plan, as well as a 401(k) plan, paid vacation and tuition benefits.
