DALLAS, Texas - SuperPages.com by Verizon, the Internet's leading Yellow Pages directory, is now available to consumers in a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) enabled version. The new service allows users with WAP-enabled wireless phones quick access to SuperPages.com's more than 13 million nationwide business and residential listings, as well as driving directions.

"This project furthers our vision of providing consumers with convenient access to SuperPages.com through a variety of different technologies, including wireless," said Patrick Marshall, group vice president - marketing of Verizon Information Services. "The SuperPages.com user interface was designed to minimize data entry into the phone to provide users with a simple and quick method of obtaining real-time information."

The interface will allow users to save listings to a personal SuperPages.com wireless address book for quick reference. Once the user has located the business or person to contact, the number can be dialed in a single touch.

"The SuperPages.com WAP-enabled product will offer our consumers the opportunity to bring the Yellow Pages with them wherever they go," said Marshall. "Our goal is to provide consumers with access to SuperPages.com through a variety of wireless devices, which in addition to Web-enabled phones includes the Palm VII series handheld computer."
