Telecommunications Technology Investment Act of 1993 for an additional
three years beginning March 24, 1999. The following response may be
attributed to Joshua W. Martin III, president and CEO of Bell Atlantic
- Delaware, Inc.:

We are very pleased that the Delaware Public Service Commission has
extended the Telecommunications Technology Investment Act.

Residential and business customers, as well as the state's economy,
have benefited significantly from this legislation. In addition,
the act provides a necessary framework for moving Delaware's
telecommunications into the 21st century. By extending this important
legislation, Delaware can continue its promise to bring competition
and choice to Delaware's telecommunications markets.
