Under a new agreement, Telenor will be able to resell Verizon Global Wholesale's international Private IP as part of Telenor's customer solution portfolio. Telenor customers will therefore have a single point of contact for their global communications needs, and seamless and secure access from Telenor's existing Nordic Connect wide area network to the rest of the globe.
In addition, by linking into Verizon's multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network, which provides high capacity and reliability, Telenor will also be able to offer its customers enhanced communications services on a global scale.
"This collaboration with Telenor is a great example of how Verizon is helping its wholesale customers expand their global reach and gain control over capital expenses while maximizing their capabilities," said Mike Millegan, president of Verizon Global Wholesale. "We look forward to working with Telenor to help expand its global customer base."
Bjørn Ivar Moen, vice president product & business development, Telenor Norway, said: "We were looking for a partner with the reach and capabilities to help us expand the services we offer to our customers. In Verizon, we have found a team that really understands our needs and can make a great difference to our business."
