BACKGROUND -- The Yankee Group today announced that the former Bell Atlantic region (Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions) of Verizon Communications placed first in six of eight service ratings in the Yankee Group's annual local phone customer satisfaction survey, known as the Technologically Advanced Family ® (TAF) survey.
