Small businesses now have yet another reason to connect with the nation's leading small-business communications provider: free Wi-Fi hot spot access at more than 14,000 locations nationwide, available to every Verizon business broadband customer.

Providing additional broadband service is part of Verizon's continued focus on expanding capabilities for small businesses in a tough economy.

"Small businesses seek efficiency and want speedy and reliable communication services," said Monte Beck, Verizon vice president for small-business marketing.  "With Verizon they get it all - a range of affordable broadband options that include digital-subscriber-line-based High Speed Internet (HSI) service, industry-leading FiOS Internet and the nation's largest 3G broadband wireless network, as well as the services of a virtual CIO."

Beck added: "The addition of these free Wi-Fi hot spots gives businesses more options to connect wherever their travels take them."

Free Verizon Wi-Fi hot spot locations include hotels, airports, restaurants, coffee shops, retailers, convention centers and public locations across the U.S.  For a complete list, visit www.verizon.net/hotspots.

All Verizon small-business customers with FiOS Internet or DSL-based HSI can log on to www.verizon.net and use their Verizon username and password to download software for free Wi-Fi access at the Verizon hot spots.

New Verizon small-business customers can now get HSI for Business and Verizon Freedom for Business unlimited domestic local and long-distance calling for as low as $59.99* per month for one year when signing a three-year agreement.  All current small-business offers can be reviewed by visiting http://smallbusiness.verizon.com.

Verizon broadband services are available to more than 25 million homes and small businesses in parts of 24 states and the District of Columbia.
