Verizon Wireless Asks Web Site Visitors To Express Themselves

New Online Survey Lets Customers Talk About Wireless Phone Use While Driving

May 7, 2001

BEDMINSTER, NJ

-

Thirty-eight states have recently introduced legislation on the issue of banning the in-vehicle use of wireless phones. As the nation's largest wireless service provider, Verizon Wireless wants to hear directly from the people about their thoughts on this issue and more. Starting today, visitors to the Verizon Wireless Web site, www.verizonwireless.com, can give their opinions about the responsible use of wireless phones while driving by taking a brief survey.

Verizon Wireless developed the survey to learn more about consumers' thoughts on responsible driving and wireless phone use. Visitors logging on to www.verizonwireless.com should click on the link to take the survey, which should take a minute to complete. The survey will run until May 15, 2001 and the results will be announced during Wireless Safety Week, which runs May 21-28, 2001.

And, on a lighthearted note, the "C'Mon, Admit It!" section asks visitors a "non-traditional" question about whether they have used their wireless service in an inappropriate place.
