Janet Schijns and Wendy Petty have been named to CRN’s prestigious 2016 Women in Channel list. The list honors nearly 500 women for their channel leadership, expertise, vision and support for industry innovation. Women executives on the annual list come from IT vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that impact the channel ecosystem. Honorees were selected by CRN editors.

Both Janet and Wendy were named to the 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel list, a subset of the larger list reserved for female executives whose insight and influence directly drive channel success. Janet was recognized for her work as vice president, global channels; and Wendy was honored for her role as executive director of global channels. Both women have played significant roles in the success of Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) channel sales program in the past year, including a 10x increase in new business through the agent channel and the growth of the channel into the fastest growing sales engine inside VES.

In the past year, Wendy and her team created a new route to market with Verizon through the value added distributor program and developed a resale model that allows Verizon to reach new net customers and broaden the company’s overall channel reach.

Janet recently took over as head of channel sales, but has a long history leading marketing and new business development for the channel. She helped launch the Verizon Partner Program and continues to focus on developing programs that serve the needs of both partners and clients.
