Verizon Wireless Debuts Singlerate Southwest

Dallas — Verizon Wireless is now offering SingleRatesm Southwest, new flat-rate digital wireless service price plans that bring the benefits of the company's no-roaming, no-long-distance national SingleRate plans to consumers making most of their calls from the four-state area of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana.

With SingleRate Southwest, all calls made from the four-state region to anywhere in the country are free of roaming and long-distance charges. The plans offer aggressive pricing starting at 150 minutes per month for $30 up to 2,000 minutes per month for $170. The plan includes Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding and Three-Way Calling.

Also available is the new Call Texassm Plan. In addition to an enhanced local calling, statewide long-distance is included. The plan offers aggressive pricing starting at 150 minutes per month for $25 up to 2000 minutes per month for $125. The plan includes Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding and Three-Way Calling.

"These are the first of our region's aggressive new price plans made possible by the recent joint venture creating Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless provider in the country. Consumers will now find our service even more affordable. They can choose a rate plan based on the coverage they need," stated Jeanne Mathews, Marketing Director for the Dallas-Fort Worth Region.
