TOMS RIVER, NJ — In celebration of Verizon Wireless' recent store opening at the Ocean County Mall, the company has donated $2,500 to Providence House - Ocean, a local non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter and services to domestic violence victims.
"As a new member of the Toms River community we are proud to provide a donation to Providence House and help them break the cycle of domestic violence," said Verizon Wireless' Store Manager Bob Scalia. Since 1995, Verizon Wireless and associated companies have made a strong commitment to helping domestic violence victims lead safer and more productive lives through the donation of wireless products and services and other resources.
"We are truly appreciative of Verizon Wireless' generous donation and continued commitment to domestic violence prevention," said Linda Rieche, Community Liaison, Providence House - Ocean. "This donation combined with Verizon's previous wireless phone donations will certainly help us to continue to meet the needs of domestic violence victims in Ocean County."
The Ocean County Verizon Wireless store opening is part of the company's extensive retail expansion plan which includes the opening of eight new stores throughout the Philadelphia Tri-State Region this year. Located near the food court, the store is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
