BEDMINSTER, NJ — Hip-hop, metal, 80's Classics, Top 40, punk, country, you name it — the style of music doesn't matter. With phones from Verizon Wireless, you can take your music with you, regardless of your preference. The Motorola E815 and the UTStarcom CDM-8940 come equipped with MP3 players and are available today from the operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network. In addition, the LG VX8100, introduced in July, can be upgraded at any Verizon Wireless location to include MP3 capability.  Download your favorite CDs to standard memory cards, insert a card into the phone and listen to music from wherever you are.

The UTStarcom CDM-8940 and the LG VX8100 are available for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year customer agreement while the Motorola E815 is $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year customer agreement.  All three phones are equipped with Get It Now®, Verizon Wireless' virtual shopping mall of downloadable services, and V CAST — the first wireless broadband consumer multimedia service in the country that allows customers to view crystal clear video clips from the hottest names in entertainment, news, sports and more.

"Not only are we the nation's leading wireless service provider, we are the go-to wireless carrier for mobile music," said Bill Stone, vice president of marketing for Verizon Wireless. "Customers have rocked to V CAST music videos that have included Green Day, John Legend and Shakira. Now they can download songs from those artists — and others — from any PC and listen to them on their wireless phones whenever they choose. It's music that's mobile — and on the same device they talk on everyday."

Ring Tones, Ringback Tones & Music Videos

  • Whether your preference is U2, John Mayer, Ciara or Lil' Troy — or all of them— you can groove to their music whenever you receive a call on your Verizon Wireless phone. Check out the thousands of ring tones available for download in the getTONES shopping aisle on Get It Now-enabled phones.
  • Don't forget to let your friends share in the fun with Ringback Tones from Verizon Wireless. Callers can hear true tunes from the hottest acts today, like Green Day, Black Eyed Peas, INXS, plus exclusive tracks and more — check out more than 2000 Ringback Tones at www.verizonwireless.com/ringback.
  • V CAST's "Only from Verizon Wireless" music videos from your favorite artists will make your phone the one to pass around at the party.
  • The V CAST Encore Channel — the V CAST channel exclusive to Verizon Wireless — broadcasts concert performances from top artists in rock, pop, alternative, country, world and hip-hop. Within days of a concert, participating artists offer a few of their songs for a limited time on the V CAST Encore Channel in the Entertainment category on Verizon Wireless V CAST-enabled wireless phones.

V CAST -- For Less than the Cost of One CD or Two Large Pizzas

Customers can sign up for V CAST for $15.00 monthly access added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan. Unlimited basic video clips are included, but application download fees apply for 3D games, premium video, Get It Now applications, ring tones and Ringback Tones. There are no airtime charges to download, stream or watch V CAST content.
