SAN DIEGO, CA and BASKING RIDGE, NJ — With the growth in the home health care industry, Verizon Wireless said today from CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009® that it is offering OnCare by Xora, an industry vertical solution for its Field Force Manager application that helps address the specific needs of mobile health care workers and helps companies become more productive and efficient.

Designed specifically for use by home caregivers who travel from appointment to appointment, OnCare by Xora enables companies to track only the data they need and gives caregivers select features that apply directly to their work. For example, administrators can securely and efficiently dispatch, track and communicate with mobile caregivers, helping the organization run on time and on budget.

The easy-to-use software is installed on GPS-enabled mobile phones, enabling companies to not only stay in touch with their mobile workforces, but also reduce paperwork, expedite payroll and increase compliance.

OnCare by Xora also provides turn-by-turn navigation, making getting to appointments simpler and easier while at the same time helping to track mileage and reduce fuel costs. OnCare also has built-in reporting features to validate that care plans are administered properly and that all steps are billed accurately, eliminating confusion around payments and reimbursements.

Field Force Manager has been helping business customers improve productivity, reduce operational costs and increase revenue since its inclusion in the Verizon Wireless business application lineup in 2006. OnCare by Xora is the first industry-specific solution, addressing the unique needs of home health care.

OnCare by Xora is available now and requires the Field Force Manager Custom Base Client ($20 per line monthly fee) and Field Force Manager add-on feature ($15 monthly access fee).
