The notion of watching video content on a wide array of devices at the park, on the train, at the mall or simply your backyard Zen zone is called “TV Everywhere” by many, but we prefer to simply call the concept “the Borderless Lifestyle.”

In recent days, more great news about “TV Everywhere” from Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Deportes as well as The Hallmark Channel has appeared.  While this type of news proves exciting for movie and TV show fans, it can be a bit overwhelming so we wanted to put it all in better perspective and explain what this means to Fios customers.

FiOS customers now have TV Everywhere access to live Los Angeles Lakers, LA Galaxy, and Sparks Games in both English and Spanish through Time Warner SportsNet, plus all the family friendly content and shows offered through The Hallmark Channel.  This great content will be available on televisions as well as iOS and Android enabled tablets and mobile devices, making the statement “TV Anywhere” all the more a reality.

We’ve been promoting the borderless lifestyle concept now for quite some time.  It’s the idea that you can take your FiOS content with you and enjoy it wherever you want… and you can enjoy it best when you’re content is riding atop Verizon’s powerful networks.

Whether having fun soaking up one of your most enjoyable movies though our Flex View platform, or watching your favorite TV networks via FiOS TV Online, you can be the envy of airport travelers, distant relatives and friends still with a cable service with less robust offerings, simply by accessing the at Verizon portal (and a broadband connection) and using your log-in credentials for authorization purposes.

We also recently took things a step further by introducing the Fios TV App, offering 75 linear channels accessible on either your iPad or Android device in the home (or within reach of your FiOS router).

It’s reassuring to see content providers such as Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Deportes and The Hallmark Channel embracing the borderless concept by engaging their marketing partners like Verizon FiOS.  This activity, and more on the way, speaks loudly and sends a message that content liberation inside of and outside of the home is here to stay and will only get bigger.

The evolution has started and since evolution is all about the cream rising to the top, you can be certain that as content borders drop further, FiOS will be in the thick of things to provide the best experience available, in borderless style.
